The French Group Générale du Solaire is a 100% independent power producer of renewable energy with around fifteen years of experience in the development and implementation of successful photovoltaic energy projects. The Group is involved throughout the entire photovoltaic value chain in France, Italy, Africa and the Middle East.

Established in 2019, GDS SOLE ITALIE, the Italian subsidiary of the Générale du Solaire Group, has numerous projects in operation, under construction and in development across the peninsula. GDS SOLE ITALIE features all the resources and expertise to manage every stage of a solar project, from development to operation, including engineering, financing and construction. Focussing its development on quality, innovation and mastery of new photovoltaic technologies, GDS SOLE ITALIE provides tailored solutions adapted to each type of project (on industrial or agricultural land, incorporating storage capabilities, and more).
In the face of the challenges posed by climate change and production growth, photovoltaic solar energy is an essential solution to ensure the energy transition. With over 120 employees, the Générale du Solaire Group is experiencing significant growth. The Group achieved a turnover of €100 million in 2023 and forecasts a turnover of €130 million in 2024 for all its activities.
The Générale du Solaire Group owns over 60 MWp of solar power plants in Italy through its subsidiary GDS SOLE ITALIE and more than 450 MWp of solar power plants in France. With a project development pipeline of 350 MWp in Italy and 1.5 GWp in France, the Générale du Solaire Group is one of the independent and leading companies in the sector.
