Job Description

As a Window and Door Field Supervisor, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair activities related to windows and doors within construction projects or renovation assignments. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all installations meet quality standards, adhere to safety regulations, and are completed within specified timeframes. You will coordinate with installation teams, communicate with clients, and manage resources efficiently to achieve project objectives.

Responsibilities:

* Supervision and Coordination:

* Direct and supervise window and door installation teams on-site.
* Coordinate with project managers to schedule installation activities.
* Assign tasks to installation crews and monitor their progress.
* Ensure that all installations comply with building codes and safety regulations.

* Quality Assurance:

* Conduct inspections of installed windows and doors to ensure quality standards are met.
* Address any deficiencies or issues promptly and effectively.
* Implement corrective measures as necessary to maintain quality and client satisfaction.

* Client Communication:

* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding installation projects.
* Communicate project timelines, progress updates, and any relevant information to clients.
* Address client concerns or inquiries in a professional and timely manner.

* Resource Management:

* Manage inventory of materials and equipment necessary for installations.
* Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of required items.
* Optimize resource utilization to minimize wastage and reduce costs.

* Training and Development:

* Provide training and guidance to installation teams on proper techniques and procedures.
* Identify training needs and opportunities for skill enhancement among team members.
* Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the installation department.

* Documentation and Reporting:

* Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including materials used and labor hours.
* Prepare reports on project progress, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.
* Submit documentation to project managers and other stakeholders as required.

Requirements:

* Proven experience in window and door installation, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
* In-depth knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations related to window and door installations.
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach.
* Leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and guide team members towards achieving common goals.
* Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
* Physical fitness and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* Relevant certifications or training in window and door installation are a plus.
