Role: Technical Writer III

Location: Irving, Texas - 75038

Duration: 12 Months

Shift: 8 AM to 5 PM

Onsite: 100%

Job Overview:
We're seeking a skilled Technical Writer to create and edit customer-facing instrument manuals. This role requires collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) under tight deadlines and a commitment to delivering high-quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and edit customer manuals (mainly for instruments, occasionally customer letters).
• Collaborate closely with SMEs to gather accurate information and meet deadlines.
• Participate in meetings to develop labeling content.
• Coordinate with global teams, which may require early start times (7-8 AM).
• Work as part of a team, including other writers and graphic designers.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
• Critical thinking and the ability to work under pressure.
• Quick learner with knowledge of content management systems and XML (preferred).
• Experience in regulated industries (medical devices, aerospace, etc.) is a plus.

Education and Experience:

• 4-6 years of experience in technical writing.
• A degree is preferred but not required if equivalent writing experience is demonstrated.
• Strong project management and organizational skills to manage deadlines effectively.

Interview Process:

• Preferred: In-person interview.
• Alternative: Webex if in-person isn't possible.
• Typically involves one round with the hiring manager and project lead.
