Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to support deaf and hard-of-hearing students in a virtual classroom setting. You will work with school districts nationwide, providing essential communication services to students regardless of their location. This is a flexible, remote 1099 contract position, allowing you to live and work anywhere in the country.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality, real-time sign language interpretation for deaf and hard-of-hearing students in virtual classrooms.
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and school administrators to understand each student's specific communication needs.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold professionalism in all virtual interactions.
Adapt interpretation style to meet the unique needs and abilities of each student.
Use our online platform to manage schedules, assignments, and communication.

Qualifications:

Licensed Sign Language Interpreter with an EIPA of 3.5 or higher.
At least 2 years of experience as a sign language interpreter in educational settings.
Ability to adapt to virtual interpreting technologies and platforms.
