Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Safety/Training Director to lead our safety and training initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that promote a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety and training programs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations.
• Manage the safety director and safety committee.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
• Coordinate and conduct safety training for all employees.
• Maintain safety records and reports.
• Identify and evaluate hazards and develop corrective actions.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety management or related field. If no degree, equivalent experience considered for the right candidate.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a utilities safety management role is ideal.
• Strong understanding of OSHA, DOT, standards/requirements.
• Nice to have experience in Renewables, Natural Gas, Federal Motor Carrier standards, National Safety Council guidelines, Utility industry experience.
• CSP, CIH, ASP Certs are highly desirable
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and personnel.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
