Safety Coordinator

Safety Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Safety Specialist with a background in Commercial Construction to join our team. This position is responsible for leading our safety programs and ensuring compliance with state and federal safety regulations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in creating and implementing safety programs, as well as identifying and mitigating safety risks. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other applicable safety regulations
• Perform regular safety assessments and provide feedback on safety initiatives
• Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of safety incidents and system audits
• Provide safety training and education to employees
• Respond to requests for safety advice
• Assist on accident investigations and analyze data to mitigate future risk

Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant safety management experience
• OSHA 30
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Supportive, coaching leadership style
• Ability to motivate others toward a shared goal
• Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (will consider additional experience in lieu of degree)
• CSP or CHST is a PLUS
• OSHA 500+ certification a PLUS
• Prior experience with heavy civil roadway construction is a PLUS
• Knowledge of DOT regulations is a PLUS
