Partnership to End Addiction is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to support an innovative research project that aims to develop and test a family-based adjunctive treatment protocol for addressing co-occurring internalizing disorders among adolescents enrolled in usual care for substance use problems. The Research Assistant will work as an integral member of the Family and Adolescent Clinical Technology & Science (FACTS) team to help with several study tasks and will report to the FACTS Senior Director of Clinical Training and Research Operations.

This position is funded by a NIDA grant through August 2026. The duration of this position is dependent on continued funding from NIDA for the role. Those with a background in psychology and/or an interest in applying to graduate school are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities of the job include:

  • Demonstrate and reflect the mission and values of the organization.
  • Proactively coordinate and collaborate with colleagues to fulfill mission and objectives of the job.
  • Managing communication with study participants, providing technical support as needed
  • Monitoring online data submission; tracking participant activity to include sending individual reminders, tracking and issuing reimbursement, etc.
  • Assisting with additional tasks related to consenting participants and collecting data
  • Assisting with data cleaning and analysis
  • Completing miscellaneous administrative/coordination tasks within the FACTS team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology or other social science
  • 1+ years of relevant research experience
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work as part of a cohesive team, but also to work independently when needed to achieve goals
  • Spanish fluency required
  • Experience using SPSS preferred
  • Compassion and empathy for those impacted by addiction

Annual Salary Range: $45,000-$49,500

This is a hybrid role. The Research Assistant will work in the New York City office at least one day per week.
