Project Manager

As a Barclays Project Manager, you will lead complex, highly visible programs or projects that cut across the business, operations, and technology by developing a plan, managing potential risks and benefits, working with your business partners to land on the best solutions, and driving your team to deliver through completion. You will coordinate overall project documentation across all bank functions including requirements, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, weekly status reports, etc. and ensure compliance with Barclays policies and standards.

What will you be doing?
• Managing medium to large projects with multiple business, operations, and technology stakeholders
• Organizing project delivery cadence and run effective discussions with senior leadership and project team
• Defining, creating and update project plan. Track upcoming deliverables and ensure completion of project milestones and tasks
• Performing daily administrative tasks including time management, training and other duties as required and recognize potential risks or issues quickly, escalate effectively
• Ensuring projects are completed according to time and budget schedules, and that goals conform to line of business' overall standards
• Managing work teams through successful delivery of intended outcomes and Support internal risk reviews and audits, as necessary
• Leveraging project management best practices and apply lessons learned from completed projects and promoting effective working relationships with stakeholders
• Enforcing effective change control and drive financial accountability and transparency through budget management, monitoring and reporting of forecast vs. actuals
What we’re looking for:
• More than five years project management experience with demonstrated experience on managing medium to large initiatives, involving multiple business/ workstreams
• Proven ability to manage and influence resources to deliver to intended outcomes in a matrixed environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications: Project, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
Skills that will help you in the role:
• PMP/PMI certification, LEAN or Six Sigma a plus
• Good working knowledge and understanding of Agile methodologies, certifications a plus
