POSITION OVERVIEW: Chiquita is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing & Events Coordinator to support our North America marketing and sales team in executing various marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role will assist the Marketing team with administrative tasks, coordinating marketing projects, and providing support across multiple marketing channels. The position will be based onsite in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Administrative Support: - Assist in managing schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements for Miss Chiquita and additional events/activities.
- Maintain organized filing systems, both physical and digital, for marketing documents, reports, and materials.
- Handle communication including emails and correspondence, redirecting inquiries across departments.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes as needed.
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory levels for marketing materials.
Budget and Invoice Processing: - Review and enter vendor invoices accurately and promptly.
- Ensure compliance with payment procedures and resolve discrepancies.
- Support Marketing team with investment monitoring.
Procurement Coordination: - Collaborate with internal departments to identify procurement needs and requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of purchase requisitions, requests for proposals (RFPs), and purchase orders.
- Coordinate procurement activities, including obtaining quotes, issuing purchase orders, and tracking order fulfillment.
Marketing Materials Inventory Management: - Lead development of Marketing catalog (T-shirts, pens, notebooks, etc.)
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in stock monitoring.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
Event Coordination: - Assist in planning and organizing marketing events, such as trade shows, marathons, conferences, and campaign launches.
- Coordinate logistics for events, including venue selection, catering, signage, and promotional materials.
- Provide on-site support during events, ensuring smooth execution and addressing any issues that arise.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Liaise with other departments, such as sales, procurement, accounting, to support integrated marketing efforts.
- Communicate effectively with external vendors, agencies, and partners to coordinate marketing activities and projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Skills: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Experience/Knowledge - Previous experience in marketing, administration, or related roles is desirable.
- Experience with project management.
- Experience with invoicing systems and software is a plus.
- Understanding of basic marketing principles and concepts.

JOB ENVIRONMENT: - Must be able to travel up to 15% of the time.
- Most tasks are conducted within a comfortable, temperature-controlled office setting.

- Standard office equipment such as calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other tools are routinely utilized.
- Certain job duties may necessitate stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching.
- The ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs. is required.
