Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Structural Welders for projects located in the Calvert City, KY area . This is a first & second shift opportunity and the pay rate is $18-24/hour based on experience plus $100/day worked per diem for Travelers 60+ miles from the job-site.If you are a Marine Structural Welder eager to master your skills while working alongside our accomplished Craft Professionals, this is your chance to advance your career!
Job Scope:
Repair work on towboats, and river barges
New construction work
Work with stainless, and some carbon work
Weld with the bead to be water tight airtight and in a consistent pattern without defects or holes in all welding positions
Set the welding machine and begin work in a short time frame
Vee out butt joints and fractures using either an air arc gun or cutting torch
Normal welding tasks will be on steel plate and steel pipe
Normal welding rods and wire will be used for tasks
Welding rods/wire: 6011 7018 7024 308 Stainless .072 flux core wire with suitcase welder
Requirements
4+ years of recent stick welding experience
1+ year of recent marine welding experience
Must pass weld test
All PPE
Must pass drug screen
Knowledge of welding machines and their settings
