Job Description

The role we are looking to fill at River Oaks Baptist School is that of Live Chat Representative. This position is pivotal in the communication and interaction with our online community, therefore, the individual we seek should possess excellent communication skills, patience, and a knack for problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and participate in all live chat sessions, addressing any queries, complaints, or recommendations from students, guardians, educators, or any member of the online community.
• Provide accurate and thorough responses to queries by exploring all possible channels and information sources within the institution.
• Work collaboratively with various teams within the institution to ensure seamless information flow and consistent communication.
• Monitor the live chat portal for any technical issues and ensuring they're addressed promptly.
• Promote online services and programs offered by the institution via the live chat platform.
• Document all chat inquiries, feedback, and resolutions for record keeping and future reference.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a High School diploma. A further degree or diploma in Communications, Public Relations, or related fields will be a plus.
• Proven experience in customer service or a similar role involving direct interaction with customers or the public. Experience in an educational institution setting will be highly advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to relay complex information in a simplified, comprehensible manner.
• Strong typing skills and familiarity with live chat tools and software.
• A patient, welcoming, and supportive demeanor with the ability to handle various personalities and temperaments.
