Kingdom One is partnered with Community Bible Church located in Ventura, CA. This church is looking to add to their awesome team by adding a Full Time Lead Pastor! 

Vision for this role

The Teaching Pastor will work in harmony with the Elders, Staff, and Leadership team in agreement with the beliefs, values, vision, and mission of “following Jesus, making disciples, and impacting the world” at Community Bible Church. The Lead/Teaching Pastor will strive to glorify God by providing ministerial oversight through shepherding the flock in spiritual and relationship growth by modeling what it looks like to love God and love people (Eph 4:11-13, 1 Peter 5:2-3).

• Demonstrates a stable, mature Christian walk that reflects the requirements of a pastor (1 Tim 3:1-7, 2 Timothy 2, Titus 1:5-9):

  • Faithful as a husband and an effective father 
• Exhibits the fruit of the spirit (Gal 5:22-23).
• Lives out a commitment to prayer and the study of God’s Word.
• Reflects a love for God’s Word and upholds the integrity of Scripture.
• Has a minimum of five years prior involvement in ministry and experience preparing and preaching expository sermons.
• Has a ministry-related undergraduate, graduate, or other related training. Seminary training is preferred. 

What you’ll do:

• Guide the spiritual development of the congregation through prayer, teaching, and pastoral care.  
• Participate in the planning, organization, and implementation of all corporate services; prepare and deliver messages; lead in the observance of ordinances.
• Attend and interact with new and regular church service members and introduce serve opportunities.
• Cooperate with staff and volunteers to accomplish the church’s mission in evangelism, discipleship and outreach.
• Work closely with the Executive Pastor who is responsible for the overall church business administration and staff oversight.
• Collaborate with other church departments to support overall ministry efforts.
• Provide leadership in selecting, enlisting and training qualified persons for church leadership.
• In cooperation with the elders, coordinate the process of membership, termination of membership, and church discipline.
• Visit members and prospective members with the assistance of staff and ministry leaders.
• Provide biblical counsel, perform weddings and conduct funerals.
• Agree to abide by the church’s constitution, by-laws and statement of faith.
• Other related duties as assigned by the Elder Board.
