IT Desktop Support Technician
Temporary - 6 months
Pay $23.25 per hour Job Summary:
This position is to support standardized computer deployment, user creation and management. This would include onboarding new personnel and completing computer refresh activities for existing personnel as needed. This is a 6-month position.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Answer incoming Service Desk calls and provide first response for users requiring assistance.
• Track issues from start to resolution via ticketing system.
• Build and image computer equipment.
• Development, testing and regularly updating standardized client software images.
• Assist in virus protection and remediation.
• Troubleshoot Windows 10 and application issues.
• Troubleshoot client hardware.
• Install configure and troubleshoot client software applications.
• Setup or removal of accounts, telephony and hardware for personnel.
• Assist in Active Directory user accounts and Group Policies.
• Assist in maintaining corporate email accounts and distribution lists.
• Assist in virus protection and remediation.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and Desk Instructions.
• Maintain accurate electronic inventory of all hardware, software and peripherals.
• Maintain physical inventory.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates degree in computer related field or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on technical support experience.
• Knowledge of Windows 10 desktop environments.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic experience with Active Directory and Windows Group Policy.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Must have a teamwork approach to work but also act independently to solve problems when necessary.
• Ability to work in complex, diverse environment with rapidly changing priorities.
• Basic understanding of IT Security best practices.
• CompTIA Network + and A+.
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office products.
• Engineering application experience.
