Job Title: Frontend Web Developer (Remote)

Location: Remote

Schedule: Full-Time (30-40 hours per week)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Frontend Web Developer to provide web development support, including website design, content updates, and general maintenance. This role involves troubleshooting front-end issues, implementing effective solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including communication specialists, graphic designers, and back-end developers.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Drupal 10, is proficient in web-based scripting languages, and possesses a strong understanding of federal compliance standards for digital communications.

Responsibilities

• Website Development and Maintenance:
  • Design, develop, document, analyze, test, and modify websites and web applications.
  • Maintain and update websites using Drupal 10 and Acquia Cloud.
  • Troubleshoot front-end issues and implement responsive and effective solutions.
  • Enhance the presentation of information, images, and graphics on digital platforms.
• Collaboration and Project Management:
  • Gather project requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute web development plans.
  • Provide project management guidance and assistance for digital initiatives.
  • Conduct routine status meetings and participate in code reviews and planning sessions.
• Compliance and Optimization:
  • Apply federal digital communications compliance standards to all web development tasks.
  • Optimize websites for performance, accessibility, and security.
• Data and Reporting:
  • Utilize tools like Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and Looker Studio to analyze website performance.
  • Generate and present reports on website activity and project progress.
• User Support and Training:
  • Provide user support, including troubleshooting technical issues and answering inquiries.
  • Train staff on new systems, tools, and web development processes.
• System Management and Security:
  • Maintain system software, hardware configurations, and security updates.
  • Mitigate vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with best practices for system security.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Communication Technologies, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Certifications: Certifications in web applications and relevant technologies.
• Experience & Skills:
  • Proven experience in website development and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
  • Experience with content management systems like Drupal and hosting platforms like Acquia Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of federal compliance standards for digital communications.
  • Familiarity with GitHub, JIRA, and Microsoft Office Suite.
