Helper electricians perform the duties tasks and responsibilities:
Providing assistance to senior electricians with basic electrical systems installation
Assisting with the execution of plans of electrical wiring for wellfunctioning lighting intercom and a variety of other electrical systems
Helping with electrical installation troubleshooting and reading and interpreting technical drawings and specs as well as the knowledge to carry out required hookups and connections
Ensuring that all materials are onsite and available during the project and ensuring that electrical parts and materials are organized and transported to the supervising electrician as needed
Handling the planning of layout and installation of wiring and fixtures under the supervision of the senior electrician
Prepare and clean workspace for the senior electrician prior to the beginning of a project and removing unused materials dust and dirt as required
Logging activities and testing results.
Good color vision to be able to distinguish between different wires based on their colors
Good listening skills to be able to effectively follow instructions and directions accordingly
Excellent problemsolving skills to be able to perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions
Dexterity to be able to handle tools to facilitate work
Good physical strength and stamina to be able to work effectively in a hazardous and uncomfortable environment such as attics basements and rooftops
Several years of professional and/or provenwork experience in a similar job role/position
Possess at least a High School diploma or General Education diploma since formal education is not a requirement.
