Position: Elastic Stack Engineer

Location: Fort M ill, SC/ Austin, TX/ San Diego, CA

Duration: Contract

Req Qual Notes:

• The position is for an ELK (Elastic Stack) Engineer this role requires someone who has actually installed, configured, and administered ELK solutions vs. just being a super user of the product.
• 4+ years of experience would give a solid foundation.
• This team operates in both Windows and Linux environment so both would be preferred.
• Other platforms willing to talk to people who know logging or logging standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with Windows and/or Linux.
• Must have a minimum of 4 years of development, integration, and support of ELK/Elastic Stack experience. ELK technical requirements:
  • Logstash collects, generates, and processes logs and events from various sources, and also helps with data parsing and transformation.
  • Elasticsearch distributed search and analytics engine. It can also detect failures and use cross-cluster replication to keep data safe and available.
  • Kibana an extensible user interface that allows users to create interactive visualizations and dashboards to help extract insights from log data.
• 3+ years of advanced scripting experience using Unix Shell Scripting, and Ruby.
• Experience creating and configuring dashboards using Kibana.
• Experience with patching and performance monitoring.
• AWS Services EKS, Kubernetes, OpenSearch, CloudFormation, S3

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication skills will be customer facing with stakeholders.
• Consultive mindset this year will be a lot more stakeholder focused and they want individuals who think this way.
