GENERAL PURPOSE Responsible for applying advanced knowledge of accounting principles, concepts, theories, and techniques in conducting activities supporting the development, monitoring and maintenance of ledger accounts and financial statements/ reporting. Under minimal supervision completes assignments that are complex in nature and broader in scope, requiring thorough understanding of accounting / finance fundamentals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Collaborates with finance colleagues and internal/external MillerKnoll contacts to collect and validate data. Assists in communicating detailed information under general supervision. Conduct general activities as an individual contributor in support of maintaining/ monitoring more complex ledger accounts and generating detailed reports for business units. Assist in account reconciliations and monthly financial closing, utilizing Infor, JDE, Oracle, and Onstream Ensure compliance with departmental SOX 404 control procedures. Participate in projects designed to improve efficiency. Receives general guidance on assigned activities, conferring with leadership when appropriate. Uses broadly defined procedures to support documentation processes in compliance with corporate financial guidelines Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives. Supports cycle count process through variance review QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CPA preferred) 4+ years of professional accounting experience 3+ years professional accounting Experience and CPA SKILLS & ABILITIES Exhibits ability to work cooperatively both in a team environment and independently. Must have competencies that include business acumen, organization skills, and ability to be Accurate and timely in completion of work assignments. Demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software and tools currently used in the MillerKnoll office environment. Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations. Strong attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
